MONTRÉAL, May 18, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Espace pour la vie invites media representatives to the Sagabone ceremony at the Jardin botanique, on May 19. Organized by Kina8at in co-operation with the First Nations Garden, this timeless tradition among the peoples of the great Algonquian family is named for beaver kits (sakapon), a symbol of renewal whose birth every year means that fine weather is back.
HIGHLIGHTS
- A gathering of numerous Indigenous representatives, dancers and singers, accompanied by traditional drumming.
- A tribute to thirteen exceptional women who have contributed to First Nations development.
