MONTREAL, Feb. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - The Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities, Ms. Yolande James, the First Vice President of the Conférence régionale des élus (CRÉ) de Montréal, Mr. Richard Deschamps, and the Acting President and CEO of Montréal International (MI), Mr. Luc Lacharité, are inviting representatives of the media to a press conference on the results of their joint efforts to increase the retention of skilled foreign workers in Greater Montréal. The event, which will be attended by many business leaders, will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010, at 11 a.m., in the Panoramic Hall of the Montréal Science Centre.
In addition, Ms. James will launch the new Programme de l'expérience québécoise (PEQ), a simplified initiative to encourage foreign temporary workers and foreign students to set up permanently. The General Manager of Electronic Arts Montréal, Mr. Alain Tascan, and the Principal Vice President - Corporate Development of the CGI Group, Mr. Renaud Caron, will also discuss the advantages for companies to retain their skilled foreign workers.
