Media invitation - The 11th annual De la rue aux étoiles Comfort food to get youth off the streets Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Dans la rue is pleased to announce the return of De la rue aux étoiles, its annual fundraising event. This year, the event will coincide with the opening of our 17 unit supportive housing project: a concrete solution to help marginalized youth to get off the streets.
The theme of home cooking will highlight this wonderful achievement. It is also an excellent opportunity to celebrate our epicurean partners, who offer reintegration programs for youth. Resto Plateau, Cuisine-Atout and Festigoût accepted the challenge of recreating your favourite comfort food into gourmet fare. The caterers Sushi à la maison, founded by Geneviève Everell, and Le Petit Munich will also join us.
The culinary wizard "Bob le chef", will host this evening and convey the values of sharing and support, which have been pillars of Father Emmett "Pops" Johns's organization for over 25 years.
All funds raised will go to Dans la rue, an organization that helps youth on the streets.
DATE: Wednesday October 1st, 2014
TIME: 6 to 9pm
PLACE: The Montreal Science Centre - Salle Le Belvédère
SPOKESPEOPLE: Bob le Chef, senior staff, as well as the chefs will all be available for interviews during the event.
