MONTREAL, Feb. 9, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal's Desjardins business luncheon - Business voices on Friday, February 10, 2012, at noon, at which Hubert T. Lacroix, President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada, will deliver a speech.
We're at a key point in the history of Canada's public broadcaster. As CBC/Radio-Canada faces new challenges with funding, regulation and competition, dramatic advances in the technology are redefining the media space.
Mr. Lacroix will discuss the Corporation's strategic plan, 2015: Everyone, Every way. He'll explain how, in spite of significant financial pressures, CBC/Radio-Canada plans to be more Canadian, more regional and more digital than ever.
Mr. Lacroix will also offer some topical arguments on accountability, transparency and what makes the public broadcaster worth defending.
The speech will be delivered mainly in French.
