Media invitation - The Grand Finale of the Exceptional Care for Exceptional Kids Campaign

MONTREAL, May 10, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ -The media are invited to the grand finale of the Shriners Hospitals for Children^® – Canada Exceptional Care for Exceptional Kids Campaign when we'll announce the grand total raised during this national fundraising effort.

We change children's lives

Everything is up and running at the new Canada Shriners Hospital and the children and families love the spacious waiting rooms, single patient rooms, top-notch medical equipment, cheerful décor and of course the same great doctors, researchers, nurses and staff. 

But there is still one very important milestone left, this week we will official close the Exceptional Care for Exceptional Kids Campaign and reveal the grand tally of our first ever capital campaign in Canada. We'll also thank the just over 6000 donors who supported the construction of the Canada Shriners Hospital and funded the Francis Glorieux Chair in Pediatric Musculoskeletal Research.

During the campaign closing event, we'll also catch up with Carter Brown and Alyssa Macleod, two patient ambassadors who have achieved so much in the last five years.  Carter, age 9, will tell you how he raised close to $66,000 and Alyssa will talk about her reign as Miss Canada International and her current pursuit of a medical degree. The future Dr. Macleod plans to work for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
