Media Invitation - TV personalities Dan Woods and David Grainger join Centennial College's 'Show and Shine,' June 1
TORONTO, May 30, 2014 /CNW/ - TV personalities Dan Woods of 'Chop Cut Rebuild' and David Grainger of 'Restoration Garage' will be at Centennial College on Sunday, June 1 as part of the college's eighth annual "Show and Shine" outdoor automotive show in Scarborough.
On display will be vintage, custom and tuner cars, trucks and motorcycles owned by members of the public, as well as Centennial employees and graduates. Centennial is celebrating the opening of its new "gateway" building at its Ashtonbee Campus, home to Canada's largest transportation technology training centre.
Toronto native Dan Woods will be on hand to check out some hot cars and talk to fans about his TV show (trivia: Dan also played Principal Raditch on the 'Degrassi' series). David Grainger, who operates the Guild of Automotive Restorers in Bradford, will be bringing a couple of restored vehicles. In addition, pro builder Legendary Motors will be showing off a project car.
The day includes a barbecue, DJ, sponsor booths, airbag demonstrations, show prizes and plaques. Lincoln Electric will be running a welding competition with a MIG welder as the grand prize. Proceeds from a 50/50 draw will be directed to The Lesley Russell Scholarship, established to aid college students coping with serious illness.
Admission to Show and Shine is free, and the show is accessible by TTC.
