The essential role of labour funds in the Quebec financial ecosystem
MONTREAL, May 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Business luncheon of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at noon. On this occasion, Yvon Bolduc, President and CEO of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, will be the guest speaker.
Mr. Bolduc will speak about the essential role of labour funds, Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Fondaction CSN, who bring together the savings of more than 700,000 mostly middle class Quebecers. The capital supplied by labour funds is invested long term predominantly in Quebec small businesses. These funds support more than 3,000 businesses and private venture capital funds.
Beforehand, at an 11 a.m. press conference, M. Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, will release the results of a recent study conducted by the Board of Trade, in partnership with the labour funds, on the value and utility of these funds.
