Media Invitation: Announcement of the 27th edition of the Montreal Shrine Bowl football game to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children- Canada Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are cordially invited to the kick-off of the 27th edition of the Shrine Bowl, a football game to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children®- Canada. The event will take place at 1529 Cedar Ave. (opposite the Montreal General Hospital), on Wednesday, September 25th at 11 a.m.
Clint Uttley and Gerry McGrath, respective head coaches from the McGill Redmen and the Concordia Stingers, will talk about the game and be available for interviews, along with players from both teams. As well, two hospital patients, 12-year-old Benjamin and 15-year-old Anamaria, will be introduced this year's Shrine Bowl King and Queen. Media will have the opportunity to interact with the King and Queen and follow the players as they visit patients.
The public is invited to attend the 27th annual Montreal Shrine Bowl at Concordia stadium, 7200 Sherbrooke St. W., on Saturday, September 28th at 1 p.m. The event is organized by the Dollard des Ormeaux-based Karnak Shriners in conjunction with the Concordia Stingers and the McGill Redmen. The previous 26 Montreal Shrine Bowl games have generated $851 000 in donations for the hospital.
