Media Invitation - Protest to denounce the abrupt closing of the McGill University's Conservatory of Music and the layoff of a hundred music instructors Français
MONTRÉAL, June 28, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The McGill Course Lecturers and Instructors Union (MCLIU), the Central Council of Metropolitan Montreal-CSN (CCMM-CSN) and the Fédération nationale des enseignantes et enseignants du Québec-CSN (FNEEQ-CSN) is strongly opposed to the abrupt decision of McGill University to close its Conservatory of Music, a musical institution in the Montreal community with over 118 years of history. The sudden closing of the Conservatory will result in over one hundred MCLIU members being laid-off.

The McGill Course Lecturers and Instructors Union represents 1 600 members.
