Many stores to open early; media can capture all the Boxing Day excitement

Announcement Highlights:

• On Boxing Day, Sunday, December 26, members of the media are invited to their local Future Shop to capture the excitement of the biggest sale day of the year.  Simply ask for the General Manager or Operations Manager at the Customer Service desk upon arrival.
• Professional photos will be taken and distributed over CNW at 7:00 a.m. local time in Eastern and Western Canada, by 2:00 p.m. EST in Quebec.

BURNABY, BC, Dec. 23 /CNW/ - On Boxing Day, Sunday, December 26, members of the media are invited to visit any of the Future Shop stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec to experience the excitement of the biggest sale of the year. Simply ask for the General Manager or Operations Manager at the Customer Service desk upon arrival.

Future Shop is thrilled to welcome media inside the store during business hours to speak with a product expert for their holiday and Boxing Day stories.

PHOTO OP: Scores of customers are anticipated to line-up outside stores before 6:00 a.m. to take advantage of the great deals and door crasher prizing.

Most Future Shop stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario will open at 6:00 a.m. local time for Boxing Day sales.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Brantford, ON to open at 9:00 a.m. EST
• Sudbury, ON & Sault Ste Marie, ON are closed on December 26

In Quebec, stores will open at 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. local time.

• By special law, the Gatineau, QC store will open at 10:00 a.m. EST
• The Centreville and Forum store locations will be open until 6:00 p.m. EST

Future Shop's Cyber Boxing Day starts on December 24 at 5:00 p.m. PST
For the 10^th consecutive year, Future Shop kicks off Cyber Boxing day on December 24, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. PST from www.futureshop.ca. Deals of the year will be offered to customers 24/7 from Future Shop's website and via their free mobile app for iPhone and iPod Touch.
