HALIFAX, June 26, 2012 /CNW/ - As incoming Chair of the Council of the Federation, Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter will host the 2012 Summer Meeting of the Council of the Federation from July 25 to 27 in Halifax at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.
Media Accreditation
Media representatives who wish to attend the 2012 Council of the Federation Summer Meeting must register online. To access the online registration system, please visit www.councilofthefederation.ca and click on the logo for the 2012 COF summer meeting. Then click on "Media Registration". Individuals will be screened to ensure they are official media representatives. Media must register by July 19, 2012.
Media Accommodation
Media representatives are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Suggested hotels are:

Media Work Room

A meeting of Premiers and National Aboriginal Organization Leaders will be held in the morning on Wednesday, July 25 at the Lunenburg Arms Hotel in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Details about this meeting will be issued by the Government of Nova Scotia.
The Council of the Federation is comprised of all 13 provincial and territorial Premiers. It enables Premiers to work collaboratively to strengthen the Canadian federation by fostering a constructive relationship among the provinces and territories, and with the federal government.
