Media Notice - Watch livestream as Jay Ingram and researchers talk science
EDMONTON, May 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Media and others interested in science are invited to attend the free Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions Impact Innovation 2016 event. Or, watch the livestream. With Jay Ingram, popular writer and broadcaster, as emcee, Alberta researchers will share stories for non-scientists about: effect of wildfires on municipal water quality, four-fold increase in Alberta's barley yield, a heart-healthy food additive from barley, spray-foam insulation from canola oil and not petroleum, super-strong construction materials from a wood-based nanomaterial additive, and interrupting the growth of prion proteins (the cause of BSE).
