GUELPH, ON, Nov. 16, 2022 /CNW/ - Lloyd Longfield, Member of Parliament for Guelph, on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, will highlight support to supply-managed sectors as presented in the 2022 Fall Economic Statement. The statement is the Government of Canada's plan to continue its sound stewardship of the economy, make life more affordable, and build an economy that works for everyone.
MP Longfield will be joined by representatives of supply-managed sectors, including Marie Ly, Senior Director of Dairy Processors Association of Canada, David Wiens, Vice President of Dairy Farmers of Canada, Phil Boyd, Executive Director of Turkey Farmers of Canada, and Amrit Leighl, VP of Operations at Gay Lea Foods.
