Media Opportunity - 400,000 Young Canadians Will Have a Free Entry Access to Canada's National Treasures Français
OTTAWA, June 17, 2013 /CNW/ - Did you know that 400,000 young Canadians will end the school year with an entry pass in their pocket allowing them to visit free of charge national parks and historic sites across the country?
My Parks Pass is one of the youth engagement initiatives Parks Canada has developed with its partners, Nature Canada, the Historica-Dominion Institute and Canadian Geographic Education, to present Canada's national treasures and to build deeper connections between young Canadians and these special places.
Parks Canada is offering you an opportunity to create a story which will undoubtedly be of interest to your readers/listeners, particularly the teachers and parents of some very lucky students.
Ellen Bertrand, External Relations Director, is fully bilingual and will be available to answer your questions regarding this youth program. Mrs. Bertrand is available to give interview by phone or Skype.
