Media Preview - Lowe's to Unveil New Concept Store Experience at Burlington's First Location; Grand Opening Set for February 6, 2014
First of its kind Canadian Lowe's store brings new level of convenience, ease and inspiration to customer shopping experience
TORONTO, Jan. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - On Thursday January 30, 2014, Lowe's Canada President Sylvain Prud'homme will unveil a new concept store experience that is being launched to coincide with the opening of the company's first location in Burlington. The store will be among only two locations in Lowe's network of 37 stores across Canada to test the new concept, which includes the company's other new location in Cambridge, Ontario which is also set to open on February 6th.
Based on customer feedback, Lowe's has developed a new store experience that will improve convenience through merchandise adjacencies, inspire customers by making it easier to interact with product so they can visualize it in their home, improve store navigation through new signage, and increase the confidence and skill set of DIYers through onsite home improvement skills training.
Media are invited for exclusive access in advance of the opening which will include a tour of the store led by Lowe's Canada President Sylvain Prud'homme, followed by a Q&A.

Lowe's new Burlington location represents an approximate local investment in excess of $20 million and will create approximately 145 jobs, as well as an additional 40-50 seasonal positions. The store will open in time to fulfill customer expectations for the peak spring season, and will offer approximately 40,000 products in-stock. It will be the city's first Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Burlington, and Lowe's 36th location in Canada.
