MEDIA RELEASE/EVENT ADVISORY - CJFE hosts free public debate: "Criminalizing Hate: The Limits of Speech in Canada"
TORONTO, June 10, 2015 /CNW/ - On June 11, 2015, Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) presents a free public event, "Criminalizing Hate: The Limits of Speech in Canada," where four free expression experts will square off to debate the following: Be it resolved Canada's hate speech laws are necessary. Bernie Farber and David Butt will defend the resolution while Clayton Ruby and Sukanya Pillay will argue against it. Julian Sher will moderate the debate.
