Media Statement: Recall Notice - Thai Kitchen Thai Peanut Microwave Rice Noodle and Sauce 168 g Take Out Box

LONDON, ON, April 4, 2014 /CNW/ - LA CIE MCCORMICK CANADA is conducting a Canada-wide voluntary recall of Thai Kitchen Thai Peanut Microwave Rice Noodle and Sauce 168 g Take Out Box, UPC code 737628117512, date code BB/MA 2015SE04 VL 02.  Some of the sauce pouches may contain spoilage microorganisms that may cause mild illness. Consumers should not consume the recalled product listed below and should destroy it.

Only the date code listed above is affected. The best before date code information is found on the back panel, near the bottom of the retail package. Included with this letter are the front and back labels of the retail package. The best before date code is also found on the side of the outer case. On December 23, 2013 the affected product was shipped, only to customers in Canada, in both 6 pack cases and prepack displays.

All inventory with the affected codes should be immediately removed from the distribution centers and store shelves, and be destroyed in a manner that will prevent consumption. Credit for the product will be issued in the typical manner.
