Medworxx and mdBriefCase Announce Free Accredited Continuing Education
Courses for Medworxx Customers
TORONTO, May 11 /CNW/ - Medworxx Inc. ("Medworxx") (TSXV: MWX), provider of healthcare solutions for patient flow, compliance and education, and mdBriefCase Inc.,("mdBriefCase"), the largest provider of accredited online continuing education in Canada, announced today a program to provide accredited online education to Medworxx Customers.
There are approximately 85,000 healthcare workers regularly using the Medworxx Learning Management System (LMS) across Canada. Through the Medworxx LMS, they will now have access to the full library of accredited, online continuing education courses created by mdBriefCase. The technology integration, expected to be completed in the fall of 2010, between Medworxx LMS and mdBriefCase will allow users to get their Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, and have them captured along with their full learning history in the Medworxx LMS. The courses are appropriate for all healthcare professionals, including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
mdBriefCase produces approximately 120 courses per year, representing approximately 200 accredited hours of continuing education. These courses are on a wide variety of topics ranging from women's health to cardiovascular disease to pediatric health to respiratory illness, and many more. These courses are developed in conjunction with medical associations such as the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Canada, and the Canadian Pediatric Society.
