Mercator Transport becomes a signatory of International Cyanide Management
Code

LAVAL, QC, Nov. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Mercator Transport Group Corporation ("Mercator Transport") (TSX-V: GMT) is proud to announce that the International Cyanide Management Institute ("ICMI") has accepted the application of Mercator Ghana Limited, Mercator Transport's wholly-owned subsidiary, to become a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold (the "Code").

By joining ICMI, Mercator Transport reiterates this commitment and strengthens its positioning and its development in West Africa ."

About the Code

The Code is a voluntary industry program for companies involved in the production of gold using cyanide and companies manufacturing and transporting this cyanide. Mercator Ghana Limited is a cyanide transporter located in Ghana and operating in Ghana , Burkina Faso and Niger .

By becoming a signatory, Mercator Ghana Limited commits to follow the Code's principles and implement its transport practices, and to have verification audits of its operation conducted by independent third-party auditors within three years of its initial application, and every three years thereafter. Operations will be certified if found in compliance with the Code, and may be de-certified if ICMI determines that they no longer comply with the Code.

The Code was developed under the aegis of the United Nations Environment Programme by a multi-stakeholder Steering Committee. The Code is intended to complement an operation's existing obligation to comply with the applicable laws and regulations of the political jurisdiction in which the operation is located.
