Mercedes-Benz Canada reports its best October ever
TORONTO, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - Mercedes-Benz Canada reported today that the group achieved its best October ever on record with a total of 2,470 passenger cars and luxury light trucks retailed throughout the month. This is up 1.8% compared to October 2009, and propels year-to-date growth to 13.9% with a total of 25,797 vehicles delivered so far in 2010.
A total of 2,216 Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and luxury light trucks were retailed in October, which represents the best October ever for the brand. Total passenger car and luxury light truck sales are ahead 10.2% or 1,263 units and 17% or 1,351 units respectively year-to-date.
Strong B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, GLK-Class, M-Class and GL-Class model sales contributed to October's outstanding results. Sales of the B-Class were ahead by an impressive 35.5% for the month.
The diesel take rate was 74% for the month, while permanent all-wheel drive 4MATIC™ units accounted for 79.8% of overall passenger car and light truck sales in October (excluding smart).
smart reported a total of 124 units delivered for the month, and has retailed a total of 1,739 vehicles year-to-date.
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter sales continued to report positive growth with a total of 130 units delivered in October.
Mercedes-Benz Pre-owned sales reported 869 vehicles delivered for the month. This represents an increase of 17.1% or 127 units over October 2009, and overall growth of 27.4% or 1903 vehicles for national Pre-owned sales for the 10 first months.
