Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada is recognized as a Great Place to Work®

Voted among Top 10 companies in annual employee survey

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, April 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada is pleased to announce it has been recognized by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada as ranking in the Top 10 of this year's 50 Best Workplaces in Canada.

After receiving more than 230 nominations with over 49,000 employees participating in the 2012 Best Workplaces in Canada survey, MBFS Canada was ranked 9th on the list in the Large and Multinational Companies category. This is up from 26th in 2011.

"It's an achievement to be one of the Top 10 companies in Canada and our entire Canadian team is extremely excited by this national recognition," said Stefan Karrenbauer, President and CEO of MBFS Canada. The competition process was scored based on two criteria. Two-thirds of the score is derived from surveys completed randomly by a selection of employees, along with open-ended comments about their organization. The remaining one-third of the score is retrieved from a thorough review of the organization's culture, which includes an evaluation of its Human Resource policies and procedures. This process provides an overall view of the company from an employee perspective and gives insight on workplace culture.

When the announcement was made this morning, the firm's 100 employees were greeted by the company's Leadership Committee, who congratulated employees over a breakfast celebration. Each employee was also given a copy of the special edition Globe and Mail dedicated to the 2012 Best Workplaces in Canada.
