MFDA Hearing Panel issues Reasons for Decision in the matter of David McMillan
TORONTO, Oct. 26, 2021 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Central Regional Council of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada ("MFDA") has issued its Reasons for Decision dated October 22, 2021 ("Reasons for Decision"), in connection with a settlement hearing held in Toronto, Ontario by electronic hearing on August 18, 2021, in the matter of David Juno McMillan (the "Respondent").
In its Reasons for Decision, the Hearing Panel confirmed the sanctions imposed on the Respondent. In particular, the Respondent:
- has paid a fine of $30,000;
- has paid costs of $2,500;
- hall successfully complete the Ethics and Professional Conduct Course offered by the IFSE Institute, or an industry course acceptable to Staff of the MFDA, within twelve months of the acceptance of the Settlement Agreement; and
- shall in the future comply with MFDA Rule 2.1.1.
