MFDA Hearing Panel issues Reasons for Decision in the matter of Desjardins Financial Security Services Inc.
TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Central Regional Council of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada ("MFDA") has issued its Reasons for Decision ("Reasons for Decision") in connection with a settlement hearing held in Toronto, Ontario on June 20, 2017 in the matter of Desjardins Financial Security Services Inc. ("Respondent").
In its Reasons for Decision dated November 1, 2017, the Hearing Panel confirmed the sanctions imposed on the Respondent. In particular, the Respondent:
- has paid a fine in the amount of $200,000; and
- has paid costs in the amount of $25,000.
