MFDA Hearing Panel issues Reasons for Decision in the matter of Paul J. Poggione
TORONTO, Oct. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Central Regional Council of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada ("MFDA") has issued its Reasons for Decision ("Reasons for Decision") in connection with a settlement hearing held in Toronto, Ontario on June 26, 2017 in the matter of Paul J. Poggione ("Respondent").
In its Reasons for Decision dated October 30, 2017, the Hearing Panel confirmed the sanctions imposed on the Respondent. In particular, the Respondent:
- has paid a fine in the amount of $5,000; and
- shall successfully complete the Branch Manager's Course prior to accepting the designation of branch manager or acting in the capacity of a branch manager or any other supervisory role for a Member of the MFDA in the future.
A copy of the Reasons for Decision is available on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca. During the period described in the Reasons for Decision, the Respondent conducted business in and around the greater Ottawa area.
