TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - CTV Toronto announced today that Michelle Dubé has been named Co-Anchor with Ken Shaw of Toronto's #1 newscasts: CTV NEWS AT SIX and CTV NEWS AT NOON. Already well known to CTV News viewers as a reporter and a fill-in anchor, Dubé will continue to file reports while co-helming newscasts.
"I am proud and excited to join Ken, and spend time with our viewers each day," said Dubé. "My goal is to deliver the news with the same professionalism viewers have come to expect from this newsroom. I also hope we can have some fun along the way."

"We're very pleased to have Michelle join Ken at the anchor desk," said Paul Rogers, Senior Vice-President, CTV News. "She's a versatile young broadcaster with a bright future. We know she is up to this challenge."
"I'm delighted for Ken, Lance, Tom, and the rest of the team to be joined by Michelle," said Christine Bentley, who stepped down from the anchor desk last week. "Michelle is a solid journalist and a fabulous lady. I look forward to watching as she and CTV Toronto viewers get to know each other better."
Dubé added: "It is an honour and privilege to follow in Christine's footsteps. She has empowered women in the field of journalism and I am very fortunate to have worked with her."
With a passion for telling people's stories and covering breaking news, Dubé joined the CTV Toronto News team in 2009, appearing on both local and national newscasts. Prior to her move to Toronto, Dubé was with the CHCH News team in Hamilton as a reporter and anchor of the evening newscast.
