Mike Holmes Launches HOLMES: The Magazine to Make it Right

TORONTO , Nov. 19 /CNW/ - Have you always wanted Mike Holmes to show up at your doorstep? Now he can.

Canada's Most Trusted Contractor - host of Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection - is proud to announce the release of his new magazine, HOLMES: The Magazine to Make it Right. Published by Dauphin Media Group Limited, the new Canadian periodical will be released across the country on November 23, 2009 . Holmes will be signing copies of the launch issue on November 23 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. , at the Gateway Store located in Toronto's Union Station.

HOLMES: The Magazine to Make it Right brings Mike Holmes ' expertise and passion for home renovation straight to your doorstep, sharing the most recent in home-reno information, from the newest technologies and innovations, to the latest in green building. Regular features will include: Ask the Pro, where professionals from across the country will offer answers to your pressing home-related questions; an Eco-section, dedicated to all things green; and Spotlight Trade, which will showcase Canadian tradespeople at the top of their game. "This is the magazine homeowners need to help them with their renovations," Holmes says. "It's the magazine I was searching for and couldn't find. So, I had to make my own magazine, and Make it Right."

The first issue offers a taste of what the publication is all about, and is filled with information handpicked by Holmes for Canada's home renovators. Features include "It is Easy Being Green," a profile of the eco-friendly renovation of a child's bedroom; "Let the Sun Shine In," which covers the newest in skylight technology; and "Fresh Air in Your Home," a feature on the National Research Council's Indoor Air Initiative. Readers can also learn all there is to know about geothermal technology in "Going Geothermal" and follow the start of the renovation of a new Holmes Approved home.
