Mike Holmes' Wind Walk Community Moves Forward

TORONTO, Jan. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - It was announced late yesterday afternoon The Municipal Government Board (MGB) of Alberta have confirmed the Wind Walk project represents no detriment to the Town of Okotoks.  Thus permitting the project to move forward. This follows on the heels of a decision from the Queen's Bench on January 25, 2012.

"I believe this is a win/win situation," stated Holmes. "Wind Walk represents a model for responsible sustainable growth. The entire southern Alberta region can benefit from this sustainable community model. We're still working towards being a net zero energy community that can generate as much energy as it uses."

The project is the cumulative effort of numerous planning and engineering consultants, public input, corporate partners, and selected builders. All homes in Wind Walk will be built by Holmes Approved Homes builders in order to uphold Mike Holmes' commitment to building quality, green and sustainable homes. Currently these builders include Avalon Master Builder, Avalon Central Alberta, Greenboro Homes, Todays Homes, Taradar Fine Homes and Lifestyle Homes.
