VANCOUVER, April 1, 2019 /CNW/ - Liberty Leaf Holdings Ltd. (CSE: LIB) (OTCQB: LIBFF) (FSE: HN3P) ("Liberty Leaf" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Just Kush Enterprises Ltd. ("Just Kush"), has received from the Cannabis Licensing Division of Health Canada, its Confirmation of Readiness Notice ("COR Notice") in regards to its application for Standard Cultivation, Standard Processing, and Sale for Medical Purposes Licenses under the Cannabis Act and Regulations.
Receipt of the COR Notice is a significant milestone. It green-lights Just Kush to go ahead with buildout and ensure its facility meets all licensing requirements under the new Cannabis Act and Regulations.
According to Just Kush's Quality Manager, Dr. Robert Jackman: "What is tremendously exciting for us is that Just Kush has not only already finished its facility buildout, but also already submitted its Affirmation of Readiness ("AOR") package to the Cannabis Licensing Division of Health Canada. Completion of the AOR involved certifying the readiness of the facility itself, producing an attestation video demonstrating regulatory compliance, and provision of a comprehensive report with supporting evidence of the Company's adherence to Health Canada's standards and requirements for cannabis licensing." The Next Step: Licensing
"The Cannabis Licensing Division of Health Canada has completed the document review assessment of our application; the next step is issuance of a license. By having already submitted a completed AOR, we have essentially fast-tracked our path to licensing," says Jackman.
With this landmark step towards regulatory approval and licensing, Liberty Leaf President and CEO, Will Rascan thanks both the Just Kush team and the Cannabis Licensing Division of Health Canada: "At every stage, our people have been conscientious and thorough. This has been crucial in helping us to move the process forward to this exciting, on-the-threshold moment for Just Kush."
About Just Kush
When licensed, Just Kush plans to cultivate premium strains of cannabis, selected for different levels of CBD and THC in accordance with market demand.
The company has a production facility situated on 13 acres in the Okanagan Valley near Oliver, B.C. It is an applicant for cannabis licenses that will enable it to cultivate, process and sell cannabis for medical and adult-use recreational purposes.
With legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada, Just Kush plans to scale-up its proprietary craft grow technologies. With attention to detail and aeroponic small-batch methods, production can be scaled to satisfy the demands of the much larger recreational market that has now become a reality in Canada and global medicinal markets.
