The Hire Follows the Recent Elevation of Devon MacDonald to CEO
TORONTO, July 20, 2018 /CNW/ -- Mindshare Canada, the global media agency network that's part of WPP, today announced that Sarah Thompson joins the agency leadership team as Chief Strategy Officer. As CSO, Thompson is responsible for setting the strategic roadmap for the agency and leads planning across all clients. Thompson succeeds and reports to Devon MacDonald, who was elevated to Chief Executive Officer.

Thompson has an extensive background in the media industry, serving both agency and client-side roles. Her 18+ years of marketing experience helps clients address business challenges and customer opportunities with "silo less" thinking, consideration and planning.
She joins Mindshare Canada from Cossette, a leading marketing communications company that provides integrated communications services, where she was Vice President, Strategy. At Cossette, Sarah was a leader of brand creation, product design, digital and media strategy. She was the first to lead integration of Cossette and Cossette Media for customer journey and communications planning. Prior to her role there, she had a variety of brand, digital and strategy experience from companies including Corus, Accenture, Mirum, MSL Group and data firm Networked Insights. Over the years, her work has spanned a variety of industry categories including financial services, retail, CPG, pharma, B2B and beverage alcohol.
