EDMONTON, May 1, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian mining industry is a driving force of the country's economy, contributing approximately $36 billion to its gross domestic product. With over 100,000 jobs to be filled within the next decade, and ongoing challenges to remain competitive in an ever-evolving world marketplace, mining touches the lives of every Canadian.
The CIM Conference and Exhibition 2012, hosted by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), will bring the world of mining to Edmonton from May 6 to 9 at the Shaw Conference Centre.
