OTTAWA, Sept. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, and the Honourable Kader Arif, Minister for Veterans at the Ministry of Defence in France, take part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial.
Minister Arif's visit to Canada demonstrates the Canada-France commitment to work collaboratively in commemorating the Great Wars. Their discussions focused on the importance of preserving the memory of the conflicts of the twentieth century, and on the preparations for the 100th anniversary of the First World War and the 75th anniversary of the Second World War.
