Minister François Gendron on hand for the Open House Honour Ride
AMOS, QC, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ) is pleased to be able to count on the presence of Mr. François Gendron, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, along with his political attaché, Mr. Olivier Duchesne, for the Honour Ride portion of the third edition of the FCMQ`s Open House event to be held on Saturday, February 8th. Also on hand will be Mr. Serge Ritcher, President of the FCMQ, Mr. Marc-André Boivin, General Manager, as well as Mr. Roger Lévesque, Vice-President and administrator for the host Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
« We enjoy having snowmobilers to discover a new region of Quebec every year during the Open House event. Amos was chosen this year as the town is celebrating its 100th anniversary », adds Mr. Lévesque.
Open House: New for 2014
The Open House event - held on February 8th and 9th, 2014 - provides participants with the extraordinary opportunity to have free access to Quebec`s remarkable 32,000 km network of snowmobile trails, universally recognized as the world`s finest.
Participants will be asked to display a free temporary trail permit which can obtained at www.freesnowmobiletrailsfcmq.com [also accessible from the FCMQ Web site www.fcmq.qc.ca)].
To obtain the said permit, participants will be required to complete the Participation and temporary free trail permit form found on the site. The free temporary trail permit (in PDF format), which is to be printed, will be forwarded to the e-mail address provided.
It is important to note that the free temporary trail permit does not provide any public liability insurance coverage. It is thus the snowmobiler`s responsibility to provide the necessary insurance coverage as required by the Act respecting off-highway vehicles.
