Minister Garneau responds to report into fatal 2016 aircraft accident north of Kelowna, British Columbia Français
OTTAWA, April 26, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, today issued the following statement regarding the Transportation Safety Board of Canada's report into the fatal aircraft accident that occurred on October 13, 2016, north of Kelowna, British Columbia:
"My heartfelt thoughts continue to go out to those affected by this tragic accident. I had the utmost respect for the Honourable Jim Prentice. His contributions and dedication to Canadians are greatly missed.
"I would like to thank the Transportation Safety Board for their hard work on this investigation. Departmental officials are conducting a thorough review of the report and will provide a formal response to the Board within the required 90-day time frame.
"Transport Canada takes recommendations from the Transportation Safety Board very seriously and shares their goal of maintaining and improving the safety of Canada's transportation network."
