The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will take part in National Flag of Canada Day celebrations and a flag-raising ceremony at the Canada 150 Rink on Parliament Hill
OTTAWA, Feb. 14, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, invites the media to join her for National Flag of Canada Day on Thursday for a flag-raising ceremony at the Canada 150 Rink on Parliament Hill. Minister Joly will be joined by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, who will be delivering remarks.
Furthermore, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, will be raising the flag along with two Canadian athletes. During the ceremony, a local group of synchronized skaters will perform choreography showcasing the National Flag.
