Minister Lebouthillier to travel to France to meet with the CRA's international partners in efforts to combat tax evasion and aggressive tax avoidance Français
OTTAWA, Feb. 16, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that the tax system is fair to all Canadians. To that end, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is working with its international partners to combat offshore tax evasion and aggressive tax avoidance by enhancing information sharing and refining its practices.
As part of this collaboration, the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue, will travel to Paris, France, from February 19 to 21, 2018.
The Minister will meet with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) representatives to discuss current results and future work to improve tax administrations' approaches to the taxation of multinational enterprises, exchange of information, and implementing new technology to better target tax compliance actions.
The Minister will also meet with representatives of Centre de rencontres et d'échanges des Dirigeants des Administrations Fiscales (CREDAF) and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
