OTTAWA, June 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Labour and Status of Women Minister Dr. Kellie Leitch, meets with Charity Wallace, Vice President, Global Women's Initiatives, George W. Bush Presidential Centre in Dallas. The Minister is currently in Texas leading a trade mission for Canadian business women on behalf of International Trade Minister Ed Fast. As part of the mission she is meeting with public officials, businesswomen and opinion leaders.
Trade mission participants are also taking part in the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) National Conference & Business Fair in Austin Texas. It is one of the world's largest annual business fair for women entrepreneurs, and network with representatives from Fortune 500 companies.
Trade Missions are an important component of the Government of Canada's pro-export pro-jobs initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises under Canada's Global Markets Action Plan.
