Minister of Finance to Hold a Pre-Budget Townhall

OTTAWA, Feb. 21, 2016 /CNW/ - Minister of Finance Bill Morneau will deliver remarks and hold a pre-budget townhall on Monday, February 22, 2016.

The Minister will speak at 10:30 a.m. at the Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre, 300 des Pères-Blancs Avenue, in Ottawa.

A media availability will follow.

Embargoed Technical Briefing for Media

Department of Finance officials will hold an embargoed technical briefing in advance of the Minister's presentation.

Media representatives should present themselves no later than 9:15 a.m. in the lobby of the Department of Finance offices located at 90 Elgin Street. They will be asked to sign an undertaking to respect the embargo and then be escorted to the meeting facilities. Information in connection with the Minister's presentation will be made available.

The technical briefing will start at 9:40 a.m.
