The Government of Canada invests in the only UCI-sanctioned professional road cycling race for both men and women in British Columbia
DELTA, BC, May 25, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, today announced funding of $50,000 for Cycling Canada Cyclisme to support the 2017 White Spot | Delta Road Race, which will take place on July 9, 2017 in Delta, British Columbia. This support is being provided through Sport Canada's Hosting Program.
The 2017 White Spot | Delta Road Race offers athletes an opportunity to develop their skills while inspiring the next generation of Canadian athletes. The race will give Canadian athletes a chance to earn valuable International Cycling Union (UCI) points that will help them qualify for World Championships. The event is also a significant opportunity for athletes, officials and coaches to gain valuable competitive experience.
