Minister Raitt meets with Alberta Enterprise Group to talk about the future of transportation - Reaffirms Canada's commitment to the importance of transportation and trade for our economy Français
EDMONTON, July 9, 2015 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, met with key Alberta business owners, investors and entrepreneurs today to talk about the road ahead for transportation and trade in the region.
The Minister spoke about the growing trend toward developing multi-modal inland ports for international transportation, distribution and warehousing and the positive impact they are having on the economy by attracting trade-oriented business.
The Minister also took the opportunity to highlight recent changes to Canada's air cargo regulations that will help make shipping by air more efficient for businesses while continuing to meet the highest security standards. In addition, the Minister announced proposed changes to the Canadian Aviation Regulations that will provide communities with the opportunity to provide feedback on aerodrome developments.
