OTTAWA, Jan. 14, 2015 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today attended NAV CANADA's annual general meeting where she took the opportunity to raise issues of concern to communities.
Minister Raitt's participation follows up on a roundtable held by Minister Raitt and MP John Carmichael in August 2014, where stakeholders considered how all parties – NAV CANADA, airports, airlines, Transport Canada and communities – can better work together to manage and reduce the impacts of aircraft noise.
Minister Raitt also congratulated NAV CANADA on another successful year as a world leader in air navigation services.
Quick Facts

- With 40,000 customers and 12 million aircraft movements a year, NAV CANADA is the world's second-largest air navigation service by traffic volume.
