TORONTO, Dec. 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Minto Communities announced today that 30Roe, its fully occupied condominium project in Toronto, has been awarded LEED® Gold certification.
Developed by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system is an internationally recognized verification program for sustainable building and energy performance. It focuses on high performance in five key categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.
"LEED Gold certification at 30Roe is the latest example of our commitment to green building and responsible investing over the past four decades," says Agnieszka Wloch, Vice President, Development, Minto Communities. "It's an accomplishment we're tremendously proud of."
Located in the Yonge-Eglinton neighbourhood, 30Roe is a 34-storey building with 397 condominium units, designed to consume fewer natural resources, minimize waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. "Residents appreciate the energy efficiency and cost savings associated with their investment," adds Wloch.
