GRAND BEND, ON, Dec. 29 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public's assistance in an attempt to locate a 50 year old male from Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada.
On December 19, 2010 at around 7:00 p.m., the Lambton Detachment of the OPP was notified of a missing male after family and friends had not heard from him. The investigation revealed that Daniel Murray Greenside was last seen on the morning of December 16, 2010 at his cottage in Grand Bend, Ontario. He has not had any contact with his family or close friends since then.
At around 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2010 Lambton OPP was contacted by the RCMP in Saskatchewan who had located Daniel Greenside's car south of the Municipality of Weyburn, Saskatchewan bordering the State of North Dakota. The investigation has led police to believe that Daniel Greenside may be heading to western Canada or the western United States attempting to find work.
Daniel Greenside is described as being a white male, around 5'10" tall, medium build, weighing about 240 lbs with short salt and pepper hair. The vehicle he was operating was a 1999 blue Buick Century 4-door sedan bearing Ontario licence plate ATLF 816.
Police continue to follow leads in the investigation and continue to seek the public's assistance in an attempt to locate Greenside. Anyone who has had contact with Daniel Greenside since December 16, 2010 or who might have information about his whereabouts is asked to please contact the Lambton OPP at (519) 882-1011 or 1-888-310-1122.
