Mobilicity gets CRTC approval; on track to launch soon
New wireless carrier readies to launch city network and bring consumers truly unlimited plans with unbeatable value
TORONTO, May 7 /CNW/ - Mobilicity today received a green light from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to operate as a telecommunications carrier.
"We have been given the approval to offer Canadians truly competitive wireless services," said Mobilicity Chairman John Bitove. Mobilicity is gearing up to launch in Toronto this spring; rollouts will subsequently take place in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa.
The CRTC approval was granted subject to changes, which Mobilicity has agreed to implement within the required timeframe.
