MONTREAL, Oct. 26, 2017 /CNW/ - MONARQUES GOLD CORPORATION ("Monarques" or the "Corporation") (TSX.V:MQR) (FRANKFURT: MR7) is pleased to announce that it has poured its first gold bar from the Beaufor mine ore since acquiring the mine on October 2, 2017. The gold bar weighs 756 ounces (23.5 kg).

"Since acquiring the assets of Richmont Mines in Quebec, we have worked hard to optimize the Beaufor Mine's performance, including signing custom milling contracts so that the Camflo mill may operate at full capacity. Our main goal for the Beaufor Mine is to restore the mine's profitability and extend its life."
