Moncton to host 32nd Annual General Assembly of AFN
OTTAWA, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) announced today that its 32nd Annual General Assembly (AGA) will be held in Moncton, New Brunswick in July 2011.
"I look forward to working in cooperation with New Brunswick Regional Chief Roger Augustine to organize and host this important gathering of Chiefs and delegates from across Canada, while enjoying the wonderful hospitality we've always experienced in the Atlantic region," said National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo.
At the past Assembly held in Winnipeg, 2,200 registered delegates attended with 341 registered Chiefs and Proxies.
The Assembly of First Nations is the national organization representing 633 First Nations communities in Canada.
