Monique Maynard appointed President, Quebec Affairs for Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life

WINNIPEG, Nov. 8, 2016 /CNW/ - Great-West Life announced today that senior executive Monique Maynard, FSA, FCIA, has been appointed President, Quebec Affairs for the company and its subsidiaries, London Life and Canada Life. The appointment is effective immediately.

Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, Canada, Monique Maynard will be responsible for all interactions with and represent the interests of the companies at CLHIA-Quebec (ACCAP). In this newly-created role, Ms. Maynard will also act as an industry advocate with Quebec policy makers and regulators in matters of importance to the insurance and financial industry.

In addition to the Quebec Affairs President's role, Monique will also move into the role of Chief Actuary for our companies in Canada, when the current Chief Actuary Canada retires in mid 2017.

Monique's career with Great-West Life spans three decades. During her career with Great-West, Monique has held senior roles in product and business development, pricing, claims, underwriting, new business administration and client service for the individual lines of business for Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life. Monique is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
