VANCOUVER, June 14, 2012 /CNW/ - Vancouver's internationally acclaimed collaborative and interactive contemporary ballet company, Ballet BC, has partnered with regional lifestyle quarterly magazine, MONTECRISTO, to create "Taking Shape", an evocative editorial video of experimental contemporary dance. Directed by Gene Doe, a Vancouver-based creative collective specializing in innovative fashion media, and set to the song "Sutphin Boulevard" by Blood Orange, Ballet BC dancers Gilbert Small, Alyson Fretz, and Makaila Wallace demonstrate the breadth of their ability as classically trained dancers and their intuitive movement. The video was designed to accompany an eight-page photographic spread in MONTECRISTO's Summer 2012 issue. www.montecristomagazine.com.
