Montréal Auto Prix supports Polytechnique Montréal students as they unveil their new 100% electric racing formula
MONTRÉAL, May 4, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal Auto Prix is delighted to lend its support to Polytechnique Montréal students as they unveil their new 100% electric racing formula.
"On behalf of the entire Montréal Auto Prix team, I would like to congratulate the students that were involved in the Poly eRacing project. As future engineers, you are fortunate to enjoy such a unique and formative experience, but also to have succeeded in shaping a greener approach that will be a tangible contribution during your career to the achievement of transportation electrification", declared Sylvain Lamoureux, co-owner of Montréal Auto Prix.
At Montréal Auto Prix, the environment is everybody's business and, as we can see with this announcement, Quebec's next generation in engineering is committed and demonstrates its great determination and outstanding capabilities to provide a tangible involvement in the fight against climate change.
Polytechnique Montréal students have been designing and building electric cars that can compete with a Formula 1 thanks to their 0 to 100 km/h acceleration since 2009. "These achievements would not have been possible without the support of our many sponsors, which include Montréal Auto Prix", emphasizes Julien Guay, Poly eRacing's General Director.
Montréal Auto Prix inaugurated this past February the very first electric and hybrid used cars branch in Québec. With this first branch of electric and hybrid used cars in Québec, Montréal Auto Prix demonstrates to consumers the diversity, durability and reliability of these vehicles. The branch gathers under the same roof all the various types of cars, and means to be an interpretation center for the latest available technologies.
