Renowned leadership programme a first for Quebec auto dealers
MONTREAL, Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation (MADC), in partnership with NADA University, the training division of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), the association of new vehicle dealerships in the United States, will be offering-for the first time-courses adapted from NADA's renowned Dealer Academy in Montreal and in French.
The first course in the four-course local programme is sold out, and will be held on October 19, 20 and 21, 2010.
This training programme, a custom programme developed from the acclaimed NADA Academy curriculum, is designed for owners/dealers, upper-level management and other dealership employees in line for leadership roles. More than 60 Quebecers have been graduated during the last four (4) years from the full eleven-month Academy programme, held only at NADA's McLean, Virginia headquarters.
''It took three (3) years of planning and preparation for the MADC to succeed in offering this exceptional training to Quebec members,'' said Diane Bélair, Executive Vice-President, MADC. ''We're proud that we can offer this up-to-the-minute vital educational experience to all dealer-members of the regional corporations affiliated with the Corporation des concessionnaires d'automobiles du Québec (CCAQ).''
She added that the programme, offered in French for the first time, has been adapted to Quebec laws and regulations, ''allowing all Quebec dealer-members to take advantage of this invaluable educational opportunity closer to home.'' She said that the Programme de perfectionnement CCAM-NADA ''will prepare all who attend with the latest techniques and the best ways to meet and surpass customer expectations.''
The customized training programme, created by NADA University, is designed to ''help all dealers maintain a smooth-running and profitable dealership in parts, service and vehicle sales operations,'' said John Lyboldt, Vice-President for dealer operations, NADA. ''Since its inception, the NADA Dealer Academy has provided thousands of American dealers literally the best training in the best practices there are to grow their business.''
Lyboldt added that NADA is ''proud of our partnership with the MADC, since it allows so many dealers access to elements of our programme locally and in their own language.''
The MADC, founded in 1913, representing close to 215 new-car and heavy-truck dealerships in the Greater Montreal area, is mandated to provide all the appropriate assistance to its members so they can always better serve the consumer. Dealerships associated with the MADC employ more than 13,000 professionals who are trained to satisfy today's market needs.
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917, represents more than 16,000 new-car and -truck dealers, both domestic and import, with more than 37,500 separate franchises. New-car dealers employ about one million professionals in the United States.
