Montréal Exchange Sets New Trading Volume Records
TORONTO, Dec. 20 /CNW/ - TMX Group Inc. today announced that Montréal Exchange (MX) has established new trading volume records. Year-to-date volume traded was 43,456,143 contracts, which exceeded the previous record of 42,742,210 set on December 31, 2007. MX also set a new equity option trading record on December 17, 2010. 183,136 contracts were traded, which surpassed the previous record of 166,876 contracts set on November 4, 2010.
